backwards is not the same as forwards

This weeks exercise has us walking down stairs backwards.....turns out it uses different muscles than walking down stairs forwards.......and my body didn't like it.  The result is that when i tried to ex on Wed i had to stop after a bit and yesterday i had trouble getting from a standing to a sitting position.  Now i have had problems with that in the past at times because of my knee but this is the first time its due to the hamstrings and gluts....felt like getting out the anatomy book and seeing just which muscles are the ones.  I'm supposed to not due anything until it eases up but i think I'll try some walking tonight....slow and gentle maybe but i don't want to lose what little I've gained. 
Eating has been pretty good, not quite enough water as I've gone to bed before i finished some nights.....it just has proved impossible to drink enough at work and i start as soon as i get home.  This has resulted in decreasing my late night snacking craving some. NSV: The pants i wore to work today i had to come home and change out of at lunch the last time i wore them.  They stretch so i was able to get them on but i felt like my circulation was being cut off last time now they are comfortable.
