Tis the Season

Tis the Season ....for food.  Almost every day  something I shouldn't eat shows up at the office.  Sometimes it goes into the freezer, sometimes it goes next door, sometimes it goes home with one of us,  but mostly it is not going into me.  It's hard not to at least have a little of the homemade goodies, easier to avoid the store bought items even if they are something I like.  I know that I will eat a piece of 2 things when they show up......I'd like to say I wouldn't but they are so special that just having a taste and passing on the rest is major work.

Tis the season ...... for friends and family.  Much lower cal options and I'm looking forward to the time spent with them.  Fruit and Veggie trays will be part of the snacks.......makes it easier to avoid the chips and dips.  Doing mini sandwiches instead of pizza makes it easier to leave off the bread.  Now I just need a low cal recipe for jelly donuts and cupcakes.

Tis the season.......for giving.  Don't forget that even a little helps(if you can afford it) and that if you have no money but have time volunteers are needed.

It is definitely hard to pass up things that appear in the office. Since I'm not working in an office now, I don't have that distraction. You are to be commended on having a taste and quitting. I have a taste and I'm off and running and eating a LOT. :(

I am so lucky being at home or even at the bus garage. There's not goodies at either place so not gaining hasn't been to bad. Losing, well with the stress level right now I am sure nothing is moving but it won't be forever, once a routine happens I think I'll be easier.
You are doing great. When you get a low cal for those jelly donuts you gotta share. :)
Take care and have a blessed weekend.

I start to feel like a mix of scrooge and the grinch. I need to remember that this too shall pass and life works itself out.

The kids make it worth it.

Oh man, passing up on homemade snacks is SO HARD. Store bought stuff usually tastes like crap so that's not as bad, but homemade? Almost always delicious. Keep trying, we're getting through the holidays, one day at a time.
