I increased my carbs this week and immediately the scale went up a bit even though I was eating on plan. I have rearranged the days again as I want more food at lunch which wasn't a problem last week using the low carb days. It was better this morning but had a pretty high carb lunch and tonight it looks like tuna and salad...so I did my salad and will have my tuna later and maybe add some cherry tomatoes, baby carrots and cucumber to fill me up. I feel for the people who are guineaning phase 6. I have to decide if I want to give it a try....I may not be able to do it but I would like to at least be able to consider it so I need to get my eating under better control. I think I will finish out this week as I bought potatoes and things but i think I may go back to the low carb days next week. Maybe eat more fish and sub some meat in one night so I don't feel like there is so so much chicken....I know some is turkey but it tastes the same.
Now if I can just kick the no exercise bug and get moving I should be set for this last month. Funny even on my bad days my cal are pretty good....figure that even if I'm off slightly in my counts I'm still doing well and I measure and weigh everything I can except for raw vegetables. I didn't get fat eating some extra lettuce or cabbage......it was that that second serving or that giant potato.

honestly, it's not that bad, P6. I know it's just day 3 and I haven't had much hunger, except tonight when I had dinner late. I know it will get boring and even though it's only day 3, I could recite the entire menu to you. There is lots of water and it does help with hunger.
Ok, I just saw an Olive Garden commercial, never mind. lol
Getting exercise sure can get that scale behaving as you want. Especially when we skip the seconds at dinner; not always easy for me. But I usually do and if I do grab seconds I try and limit the seconds to just protein.
I miss potatoes with extra butter, really lots of butter. Oh well, the good stuff tastes good too just once in awhile the mind thinks about it.
Keep up the great work. Take care and God Bless!!
Exercise does a whole lot more than just burn calories. Physiologically, it changes things. For folks like me with IR, it's crucial to increase insulin sensitivity. FOr aging folks (like, ahem, me), it's oen of the things that can increase the body's production of HGH. If you want to look younger and better, not just lose weight faster and healthier, get moving! :)
I have to do lower carb to low-carb. Have to. When my carb amounts go up, my IR acts up bad, insulin spikes, weight loss slows down, energy slows down....it's a bad cycle for me. :(
