Wii
My son set up my wii for me last night as he was leaving today. While i know that it won't be useful for lots of things i thought that i might be able to use the stepper program and i want to do the hula hoops and see if it helps my waist, i'm sore in that area today. I also ordered two JW dvds from amazon to see if they will give me some exercise ideas. Tonight i need to walk and lunge, squat and be a beached whale....thats what i feel like trying to do the head lifts. Ive eaten well but not enough vegies...we need to go shopping sat. Did my snack as i want to exercise and then do dinner.

Sore
Well.......walking in place to the biggest loser for 10 min x 2 wasn't too bad and my knee did pretty good. I'll slowly try to move faster and hopefully get back on the bike for the aerobic ex part, but oh how the other hurt. Talked to my doc and will have to modify some of the others, she has a regular trainer she works out with and i may show the ex to one of the pts i know to see how to best get around the knee problem but so far just did the best i could. Made sure to work the abd and gluts but did the lifts on the bed with a modified arm position and did the others to less than 90%, stopping when the knee started to talk back. The squats were less trouble to it than the lunges which surprised me.........getting old's no fun......i used to be able to do stuff like this with no prob...of course that was 32 years ago....ex class at least 2x a wk then, walked 5 miles to go shopping on Sat, and weighed 120 pounds. I can't go back in time but i can be healthier than i am. weight this am was 1 1/2 pounds down from sun...will see what this weekend shows. Todays email is right on......always weigh heavier when i feel constipated, added back a stool softener for the increased fiber and decreased fat i'm eating. Will need to find some more tv to watch as its easier to ex to something.
PS i'm pulling for Arthur...losing 150 pounds on his own from over 600 took a lot of effort...while it might seem easier to just give up some cal when you'd have to eat so many to maintain that weight, the inertia itself makes doing that much harder and the fact that he was telling his dad that you have to weigh, measure and keep track of everything he eats makes me suspect that he has been doing that...so much like all of us and what i will need to do forever. I don't have some of the triggers that others do, i can enjoy a small piece of cake without eating the whole thing, and do just an oz of chips....provided i'm thinking about it, if not i may eat 4 oz before i realize i did and that is what i will need to be avoiding...so far the only trigger i've found is the homemade choc cherries that i get at Christmas, in addition to the box of candy with about 8 in it i get a box of 20 just for me.......confession time: i ate 5 of them, i did count them at 100 cal each but the day i ate 3 i realized i had to get them out of the house before i finished what was left and so they are at my spouses office for him to enjoy. I managed to just taste the peanut brittle and left the rest of the bag alone while in other years i might have eaten half the bag in one sitting...so guess that wasn't the problem i was afraid it might be, and nothing else i was given was of any interest and wasn't even tasted.
My older son leaves in the morning so we are going out to lunch, will be using bk and lunch cal for this, but i am drinking some....but have to make sure i can manage the drive to where he wants to go.....if you watch the food truck show next fall i think, OKC will be in it and they also have a store and thats where we are going, have to be careful what i eat.....prob soup and then taste his fillings from his tacos, they do bison, as well as pork, chicken, beef, tongue, fish and my favorite..smoked brisket with a hot pickled relish and potatoes.

Day 1
Todays day 1 of phase 4. It was also back to a regular week of work. 21 1/2 glasses of water at least, so i planned to take a jug or 2 with me to work....as with phase 3 most days i was running late and forgot it...so did get in 4 cups of water, but the rest is ongoing. Had salad, chicken, and some redbeans and rice for lunch. NS chicken entree with green beans and tomatoes for dinner. Will have some fruit, prob string cheese and more water for a snack. So far about 900 cal, so even if i get my usual evening craving, I should have cal for it...some days it wasn't a prob last month and others it was. My food is not a match to the diet as milk is not my friend and even cheeses and other milk products are usually limited to one serving a day. Also my doctor has limited my carbs/fruit to keep my sugars down. I'm supposed to have protein with either and will try to work it out. There was a small snack in there also. I finally feel like i may be getting over the last cold and hoping that 3 over the holidays will finish my infections this winter.......bathroom break time

Fluids
I'm still under the weather, the bronchitis is gone, but i picked up another cold. Between sleeping way more than usual for me and being out most of when i was awake, my fluid intake had dropped, even though I'm getting to know bathrooms all over the place. So today I'm trying to get back on track with that and made my NS sponge for bk. Will prob do soup for lunch for fluids, warmth, and vegies. Tomorrow is work and i'v got lots of catching up to do, but i'm gonna need to get over this cold and i'm looking forward to cont with my current eating and starting to try to ex again.

The Reason
I weighed 130 when i got preg , 195 when i had my 1st son, never lost all the wt and was 165 when i got preg the 2nd time. With the help of WW, i was 199 when i had my 2nd son and after i rtn'd to WW, i got back down to 165 in the early 90's. Since then my wt had grad increased with some decreases when i would get back to working on it. After going to a Ranger play off game this Oct and enjoying Ball Park food my weight was 295 and i decided it was time for a new mindset......sort of that hitting bottom that finally gets into the head that if this continues, i prob won't, and i went back on a combination of NS and cal watching. By decreasing my portions and making smarter choices and the encouragement of my friends I grad worked down to about 1300-1400cal/day. Then via Laryssa, Allan came into my online world and his no bs and steady approach appealed to me and on 12/8 i joined his 1200 cal and large fluids group. The result was no holiday gain and in fact i lost and additional 7 pounds over what i hoped to by today. So here is the weight part of this and the fact that it took me 23 years to get to here.
